Both are Class 1 instruments with all modules included at one price. The i10 additionally includes: Full STI measurement in under 60 seconds (the only instrument with this capability), dual-channel FFT analysis, transfer function measurement, and GPS position tagging. If you need Full STI, FFT analysis, or GPS, choose the i10. If STIPA, octave analysis, RT60, and data logging meet your requirements, the i9 offers excellent value at a lower price point. The i5 is a Class 2 STIPA meter and sound level meter — ideal for voice alarm commissioning where Class 2 accuracy is acceptable. The i9 is Class 1 and adds reverberation time, statistical Ln analysis, and data logging. For compliance work that specifically requires Class 1 instrumentation (EN 54-16, BS 5839-8), choose the i9 or i10. If Class 2 is acceptable and STIPA is your primary need, the i5 is simpler and more affordable.
